Enhanced Cost Effectiveness
We use inexpensive materials, robust high-yield processes, and high-volume manufacturing techniques, leading to device costs that are competitive with alternative technologies. But the cost equation does not end there. One of the keys to cost reduction lies in ever increasing levels of integration and consequent reduction in parts count, and our proprietary process applies this principle to high quality passive devices.
In addition, the tunability of our proprietary process opens up many avenues to cost reduction. Tunability provides design flexibility and "forgiveness", effectively reducing design constraints resulting in lower design cycle time and allowing the use of lower cost, lower tolerance parts. Frequency agile circuits may also take the place of several fixed value circuits, again lowering BOM (Bill of Materials) costs and saving precious board area.
Finally, easy end-of-line tuning processes reduce manufacturing costs and times for precision RF circuits. Expensive procedures of circuit tuning by physically removing material via mechanical or laser means is reduced to simply tuning a voltage level. For RF designers products are less expensive to develop, for manufacturers products are less expensive to produce, and for the end user products become less expensive to own.
