| Peter S.H. Grubstein, NGEN Partners,
Santa Barbara, CA
Mr. Grubstein is the Managing Member of NGEN Partners and
its NGEN Enabling Technologies Fund, a corporately-backed
strategic venture capital investment fund focused exclusively
on materials science. Prior to NGEN, Mr. Grubstein made diverse
private investments, ranging from venture capital to LBOs
and leveraged recapitalizations. At companies such as Alliance
Manufacturing Software International, Mr. Grubstein was instrumental
in organizing its turnaround. Mr. Grubstein's investment experience
was derived from partnerships in two leveraged buyout companies
focusing on investments in the steel distribution and auto
parts industries, as well as his hands on experience as a
leather tanner. In recent years Mr. Grubstein has made numerous
investments, acquiring significant minority or majority positions
in private companies. Mr. Grubstein served as: the Chairman
of Premiere Video, Inc., and as a director of Kenfil Inc.,
Anaware, Inc. and Alliance Mfg. Inc.. Mr. Grubstein is currently
a member of the Board of Directors of US Laboratories, Inc.,
as well as Oxonica Ltd. in the UK. A graduate of Yale College,
Class of 1977, he received a BA degree. |

| David Prend, Rockport Capital Partners,
Boston, Massachusetts
Mr. Prend is a founding partner of Rockport Capital Partners,
a venture fund specializing in energy, environmental and advanced
materials technologies. Previously, he has served as Managing
Director and Head of Salomon Brothers' Global Energy Group,
and in financial and technical positions at Lehman Brothers,
Amoco and Bechtel. He has extensive investment banking experience
across all energy and natural resource industry segments.
Mr. Prend has technical and operating company experience in
advanced energy technologies, materials and chemicals. Mr.
Prend received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University
of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business
School. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of
Aspen Aerogels Inc., Aspen Products Group Inc., Lilliputian
Systems Inc. and PowerZyme Inc., and the Board of Trustees
of Exeter Health Resources Inc. |
